What parents can see and control
Before a family agrees to share a profile, they can review what is included, who will receive it and how to withdraw consent.
Who received the profile?
The family page lists each club or agent it was shared with. The parent receives an email when it is shared.
Did a club open it?
The family page shows which clubs opened the profile. Your team can also see link opens and video plays.
Can consent be withdrawn?
Yes. The parent can withdraw consent, which closes the club links.
How family consent and club links work
Review the profile and named recipient before sharing.
Ask for consent after the first call
The parent receives a private link from the person they spoke with. Adults consent for themselves.
Let parents review the profile
They can see positions, clubs, passports, video and scouting notes before agreeing. Phone numbers, email addresses and full dates of birth are not shown.
Create a separate link for each club
Each named club or agent gets its own link. Links expire after 30 days by default, and your team can turn one off sooner.
See when a club opens the link
Cleared records opens and video plays by club. Email scanners and chat previews are not counted as views.
Keep families informed
Parents receive an email when the profile is shared and can see each club and whether it opened the link.
Close links if consent is withdrawn
Withdrawing consent closes the links. A later attempt to open one is recorded for your team.
See the status of each club link
The links page shows the recipient, whether the link is active and the recorded opens.
- Opened on three or more devices? You’re told it may have been forwarded.
- Clubs can ask for a trial or more information from the profile, and the request comes to you.
- On a player’s 18th birthday, sharing pauses until they give their own consent.
- A printable consent record for each player, with the exact wording the parent agreed to.
Track important dates for youth players
The dates and records your licensed agent needs, on every player’s page.
- When an agent may approach
- No earlier than six months before the age for a first professional contract, and only with a legal guardian’s written consent, as FIFA’s Football Agent Regulations set out. Each minor’s page shows the date, and you set the age for each country.
- Written consent, on record
- Nothing goes to a club until a parent agrees. The exact wording they agreed to is kept on a consent record you can print.
- Moving abroad
- Profiles of under-18s show clubs when a move becomes possible, usually at 18 under FIFA’s rules on international transfers of minors (Article 19).
- Turning 18
- On a player’s 18th birthday their own consent replaces their parent’s, and sharing waits until they give it.
Guidance for you and your licensed agent. National rules can be stricter, and none of this is legal advice.
The rest of the scouting workflow is in the same workspace
Collect player applications, CVs, video and match schedules. Plan live scouting, record assessments and decide which players to recommend to clubs.
If you received a Cleared consent request
A football agency is asking for permission to share a young player’s profile with a named club or agent.
- You see exactly what clubs would see before you decide, and you can say no.
- Your family page lists every club with the profile and whether it opened it.
- You get an email each time the profile is shared.
- One button withdraws consent, and every link stops working.
How to tell it’s really us
Real Cleared links start with the agency’s name and end in .clearedme.co, for example kestrel.clearedme.co.
Cleared never asks families for money. No trial fees, no registration fees, no paperwork costs.
If something looks wrong, email hello@clearedme.co before you click anything else.
Questions about consent and the rules
When can a football agent approach a youth player?
Under FIFA’s Football Agent Regulations, an agent can’t approach a minor or their parents until six months before the player reaches the age for a first professional contract, and needs a legal guardian’s written consent first. National associations can be stricter. England’s FA, for example, bars approaches before 1 January of the school year in which the player turns 16.
Can a player under 18 move to a club abroad?
Usually not until 18. FIFA’s Article 19 allows international transfers of under-18s only in narrow cases, such as a family moving to the country for reasons unrelated to football. Cleared shows clubs the month a move becomes possible.
How does a parent consent to sharing?
After the first call, the parent receives a private link to review the profile and named recipient. If they agree, they type their name. The agreed wording is saved in a printable consent record.
Can I see if a club opened a player’s profile?
Yes. Each club gets its own private link, and Cleared logs every open and video play. Email scanners and chat previews are ignored, and you’re warned when a link is opened on three or more devices.
What happens when a player turns 18?
The parent’s consent stops covering sharing on the player’s 18th birthday. Links pause until the player gives their own consent.
What do clubs see on a player’s profile?
Name, birth year and age, city or region, positions, preferred foot, height, passports, clubs, graduation year, countries of interest, video and your scouting notes. Never phone numbers, email addresses, a full date of birth or family details.
How much does Cleared cost?
Pricing is discussed during a walkthrough. Request one and the team will explain setup and pricing before you decide.
